These are the very same gears that have won multiple championships on the W.E. Rock circuit and have proven themselves on some of the most grueling off-road courses in the world.
Trail-Creeper gears are made from tool-grade 8620 steel and heat-treated for maximum strength and wear resistance. The gear teeth are cut using Gleason CNC hobbing machines & cutters. Gleason gear-cutting technology produces an unprecedented level of accuracy and surface finish, which allows the gears to transmit more torque and improve fuel efficiency. The higher accuracy and surface finish also produces a quieter-running gear set, which means they’ll work great on the daily driver too.
If you’re looking for a Gear Set that’s easy on the wallet, but can handle whatever you throw at it, look no further.
Pinion teeth: 7, Crown wheel teeth: 37.
On Toyota trucks we recommend 4.88's for 33" tires and 5.29 for 35" and larger.
27 spline pinion.
The primary difference between the 2 part numbers is the pinion diameter and depth.
140135-1 part is for all early model (1979 to 1985) 2 and 4 spider diffs except V6 models.
140136-1 part is for early V6 models and later model (1986 on) diffs.
NB: Part 140136-1 can be fitted to early model diffs with bearing 90366-35044
