The Diesel Power Module reads the signals sent from the ECU and modifies them so that your pump and injection system receive modified signals including air/fuel mix, timing, strength and duration of pulse.
Each module has 15 different settings and comes preset on the setting best suited to your engine. Each setting is a click dial adjusted with a small screw driver on the outside of the module. Most installations are just plug it in and leave it alone. If you are seeking extra performance at the cost of producing black smoke and/or greater fuel consumption or if you have other work done to the engine such as fuel pump, bigger turbo, more boost or exhaust work then you can put the car on a dyno and change settings to maximize your preferences. If you have all the possible improvements then you could achieve up to 70+ % improvement to performance.
Most modules come complete with a fully plug in harness (plugs both ends) requiring no cutting or splicing or wires at all. In the case of wire in harnesses which are more rare in most cases the harness will have around 4 wires you need to connect to the vehicle. These modules come with wire clamps and easy to follow instructions come with photos and great detail. Almost anyone can do it. The module can just as easily removed.
TUV certification involves rigorous testing of the applications for which the component is designed. It includes verification that the device satisfies the strictest European regulations for the industry in which the component was designed for and ensures the component specifications are stated correctly.
